Clear Choice Body Material
This body material is used to tie my Clear Choice Flies. Now available for purchase to tie your own.
Sold in a package of sticks, each package will tie between 1-3 dozen flies depending on use and size. Material comes in a clear (slight olive tinge) hollow tube that is easy to use and looks fantastic. Cut it to length - thread your tailing material through the hollow construction and tie it down to the hook. The thread goes through the coils and locks the tailing material to the hook shank. Then tie your fly and using alcohol based markers color the body to match your desired hatch.
X-Small - Size 18-smaller (midges, small baetis, tricos)
Small - Size 14-18 (baetis, general nymphs)
Medium - Size 12-16 (drakes, damsels)
Large - Scud backs, damsel adults, small stoneflies, large drakes
X-Large - Terrestrials, large stoneflies, dragonfly adults
